DELI FERIT HAS BECOME DELI EMIN
Mustafa Fırat Taşolar, the Governor of Çankırı, who hosted journalists coming to the city for the Turkey Internet Journalists Association workshop at the governor's office, stated, "At that time, Yılmaz Erdoğan's father, Nazım Erdoğan, was working here. Yılmaz Erdoğan was influenced by the story of Deli Ferit, who introduced the people of Çankırı to television by setting up a high transmitter, and years later adapted this to cinema. While doing this, he preferred to portray Deli Emin as a character from Hakkari rather than Çankırı. However, the fact remains that Deli Emin is not from Hakkari but from Çankırı."
