A TREE FELL ON PASSERSBY

In Bakırköy Florya Social Facilities, parts of a tree that fell due to the strong wind landed on two women passing by. The women, who were slightly injured, were taken to the hospital by health teams, while the fallen tree was cut up and removed by the fire department.

PARKED CARS WERE DAMAGED

A tree on the sidewalk of 2022 Street in Bağcılar Yüzyıl Neighborhood also fell due to the wind, landing on two parked cars. There were no casualties or injuries in the incident, but the vehicles were damaged.

In Şişli Fulya Neighborhood, a tree fell onto the road due to the strong wind in the morning hours. After the fire and municipal teams cut up and removed the fallen tree, the road was reopened to traffic.

According to data from the General Directorate of Meteorology, the wind is expected to blow at speeds of 40 to 60 kilometers per hour throughout the day, with gusts reaching up to 80 kilometers in some areas. The Istanbul Governorate warned of potential roof blow-offs, falling trees and poles, and possible disruptions in transportation.
