In an operation carried out in the capital, 11,400 kilograms of fake meat and various food items, along with 20,000 labels belonging to different companies, were seized.
11 THOUSAND KILOS OF FAKE MEAT SEIZED
Teams from the Provincial Gendarmerie Command conducted an operation at a workplace where fake food production and sales were taking place as part of their efforts to prevent smuggling. As a result of the investigation carried out by the Smuggling and Organized Crime (KOM) Branch Directorate, it was determined that fake food production was being conducted at four different workplaces operating in Polatlı.
In the operation organized today by the KOM Branch Directorate, the Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, and the District Gendarmerie Command under the coordination of the Polatlı Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 11,400 kilograms of fake meat and various food items, oils, food coloring, and 20,000 labels belonging to different companies, with a market value of approximately 9 million 700 thousand lira, were seized.
While the seized materials were confiscated, legal proceedings were initiated against three suspects.
