In the Siverek district of Şanlıurfa, the municipal police teams destroyed approximately 5 tons of spoiled and expired products during inspections before the month of Ramadan.

5 TONS OF SPOILED PRODUCTS SEIZED

The teams of the Siverek Municipality Police Department increased their inspections ahead of the upcoming month of Ramadan, in addition to routine checks. In recent inspections, approximately 5 tons of spoiled and expired products were seized from various businesses.

ALL WERE DESTROYED

The collected products were destroyed after the necessary procedures. Police Chief Tarık Kızılkeçi stated to reporters that the inspections were carried out to protect public health. Kızılkeçi expressed that they were meticulous during the inspections and noted that they would not allow products that threaten public health.

Kızılkeçi mentioned that they intensified controls, especially in businesses where citizens shop heavily before the month of Ramadan, and emphasized that citizens should check the expiration dates of products while shopping.

Kızılkeçi added that it is important for citizens who encounter such situations to report them to the Police Department.
