CAR CRASHED INTO WORKERS HARVESTING OLIVES
The accident occurred near the Kabasakallı neighborhood on the Mersin-Antalya D-400 highway. According to the information received, a Honda car with the license plate 33 KMB 60, driven by Melahat Y., veered off the road and entered the garden after the driver lost control of the steering wheel. The car hit four workers who were harvesting olives in the garden.
1 DEAD, 3 INJURED
Those who witnessed the accident informed the 112 Emergency Command Center. The center dispatched health and gendarmerie teams to the area. The teams transported four injured individuals, one of whom was in serious condition, to hospitals by ambulances. One of the injured workers, Selim Avdil, could not be saved despite all medical interventions and passed away in the hospital.
The driver was taken into custody by the gendarmerie teams. An investigation is ongoing regarding the accident, where the treatment of the three injured individuals is still continuing.
