A car was swept away in the flood that occurred after heavy rainfall in the Milas district of Muğla. Bülent Şallı lost his life in the incident, while Ayhan Demir was rescued alive.
In the Milas district of Muğla, Bülent Şallı (46) lost his life after being swept away by floodwaters following heavy rainfall, while Ayhan Demir (52) was rescued alive and taken to the hospital. After the heavy rainfall that affected the district, a car with the license plate 35 AZ 0305, which was swept away by the floodwaters that formed in Yaka Neighborhood around 6:00 PM and contained two people, overturned in the streambed it fell into. Upon notification, AFAD, fire brigade, health, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the area.
1 PERSON IN THE VEHICLE WAS RESCUED ALIVE
The teams began working to rescue the citizens trapped inside the vehicle. After intense efforts, the car was removed from the streambed with the help of a crane. Ayhan Demir and Bülent Şallı inside the car were reached. While Demir was rescued alive by AFAD teams, it was determined that Şallı had lost his life. After the investigations at the scene, Şallı's lifeless body was taken to the morgue of the Muğla Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy procedures. Demir was taken to the hospital by ambulance after the first intervention at the scene.
An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
