After the arrest of Mehmet Akif Ersoy, scandals at Habertürk began to surface one by one, and Ecevit Kılıç, an employee of the channel, also shared his experiences. Kılıç stated, "I discussed this issue twice with the CEO of the time, Kenan Tekdağ, and he responded, 'This will never happen here.' Those who objected to the corrupt system were sent on mandatory leave."

In a drug operation that shook the media world, journalist Mehmet Akif Ersoy and three others were arrested last week. While Ersoy and Ela Rumeysa Cebeci tested positive for drugs, Cebeci was also arrested.

ATTENTION-GRABBING POST FROM HABERTÜRK EMPLOYEE

As the events at Habertürk have been discussed for days, a striking post came from Ecevit Kılıç, who is still the TV Programs Coordinator at the channel. Kılıç stated that employees who objected to the system were sent on mandatory leave.

"I SPOKE TWICE WITH KENAN TEKDAĞ WHEN I NOTICED THE ROTTEN SYSTEM"

Kılıç included the following statements in his post: "Journalism can never be a means of any immorality. Especially not for immorality such as drugs and prostitution. However, the part of this process that concerns us is that those who do this try to include workers who are paid a pittance into this rotten wheel.

Similarly, the profiling of those who object to these immoralities and pressures, who try not to be involved, and their dismissal under various pretexts and slanders concerns us.

The moment I noticed the ugly and rotten system that was established, I objected to it and reported these disgraceful acts to the Habertürk Human Resources management multiple times. I then discussed this issue twice with the CEO at the time, Kenan Tekdağ. In both instances, he responded, "These things will never happen here."

"THOSE WHO OBJECTED TO THE ROTTEN SYSTEM WERE SENT ON MANDATORY LEAVE"

Moreover, after a while, those who objected to this rotten system were sent on mandatory leave. With the arrival of the TMSF management, our colleagues who returned from their leave continued their duties. However, after a while, editors who were wanted to be dismissed by the previous management were fired without any reason given.

"I WAS TOLD I WOULD BE FIRED"

After the General Publishing Director was detained, the Chairman of the Board appointed by TMSF, Şeref Sefa, said, "You need to take a stance against what is being written and drawn on social media," to which I replied, "You need to put an end to this rotten system first; you need to clean up the names that have become concrete in the relationships within this ugly wheel, the individuals who are the subject of complaints."

Unfortunately, I did not receive a positive response. A few days later, I was told that I would be fired. Due to the sensitivity of the situation, I requested to take my annual leave. The TMSF management agreed. I am currently on leave. That is the situation."
