The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has made a new regulation at vehicle inspection stations. The Ministry announced that they have initiated a work to exempt citizens from commission costs in credit card payments.

The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure has initiated a study regarding the collection of commission difference from citizens using credit cards for vehicle inspections. TÜVTÜRK had previously made a statement that commission fees were collected from citizens making payments with credit cards. TÜVTÜRK stated, "No additional fee is requested apart from the inspection fee; however, a 'service fee' is collected by the service provider company." After these allegations, the ministry took action and brought the issue to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly. The ministry stated that a study has been initiated to prevent the collection of commission from citizens using credit cards. Members of parliament submitted a question motion regarding the issue brought to the Assembly. The ministry responded to the question motion as follows: "The use of bank or credit cards in vehicle inspections has been left to the preference of vehicle owners. In the new tender period, efforts are underway to collect the vehicle inspection fee by credit card without reflecting the commission cost." The Consumer Arbitration Board had recently considered the collection of 128 lira commission against a 1,130 lira inspection fee as 'defective service' and decided to refund this fee based on a citizen's application.
