The Üsküdar-Kadıköy-Maltepe Tram Line feasibility report has been approved by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council. The line, which will be named "AnadoluTRAM," will start from Üsküdar Square and extend to Kadıköy pier, and then to Maltepe. Construction of the line, which will begin within the year, will be 21.3 kilometers long and consist of 33 stops. The project was unanimously approved by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council, including the votes of AK Party members.

The Transportation Feasibility Report of the Üsküdar-Kadıköy-Maltepe Tramway Line, which will connect 3 districts on the Anatolian side, has been approved by the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (İBB) Council.

The second meeting of the İBB Council for the month of June was held at the municipality building in Saraçhane, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chairman of the Council, Nuri Aslan.

CONNECTING ÜSKÜDAR TO MALTEPE

During the council meeting, the Transportation Feasibility Report of the Üsküdar-Kadıköy-Maltepe Tramway Line, for which feasibility studies have been completed, was discussed. According to the joint report of the Transportation and Traffic Commission and the Planning and Construction Commission, the line, which will start from Üsküdar Square and extend to Kadıköy pier and then to Maltepe, will be 21.3 kilometers long and consist of 33 stops.

THE NAME OF THE LINE WILL BE "ANADOLUTRAM"

The daily passenger numbers of the line, which is planned to start construction this year, were calculated as 198,964 in 2027, 277,302 in 2040, and 312,356 in 2050. The line, previously named "AnadoluTRAM" in the promotion, will be integrated with Marmaray at the Söğütlüçeşme stop and the newly planned Yenidoğan-Söğütlüçeşme metro line. It will also provide connections with the Ümraniye-Ataşehir-Göztepe and Dudullu-Bostancı metro lines along the route.
