The Iranian government announced that it aims to conclude negotiations to end the war with the US and Israel during a 15-day ceasefire process to be held in Pakistan. The statement also mentioned that all plans proposed by the US have been rejected, and included the 10 points presented by the Tehran administration.

After U.S. President Donald Trump announced that a 15-day ceasefire had been reached with Iran, the Tehran administration made a statement regarding the matter.

“WE AIM TO CONCLUDE THE NEGOTIATIONS WITHIN 15 DAYS”

In a statement made by the Secretariat of the Iranian National Security Council, it was noted that "Iran has achieved its objectives in the war." The statement also mentioned, "With the approval of the country’s leader, Mujtaba Khamenei, it has been decided that the negotiations will take place in Islamabad to finalize the agreement. The aim is to conclude these negotiations within a maximum of 15 days and to politically validate the victory on the ground."

THE 10 POINTS PRESENTED TO THE U.S. HAVE ALSO BEEN REVEALED

The statement indicated that all plans presented by the U.S. were rejected, and the 10 points proposed by the Tehran administration were listed as follows: "The passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be conducted in a controlled manner in coordination with the Iranian Armed Forces, the cessation of the war conducted against all elements of the resistance axis, the withdrawal of U.S. combat forces from all bases and deployment points in the region, the establishment of a passage arrangement that will guarantee safe passage in the Strait of Hormuz and ensure Iran's sovereignty within the framework of the agreed protocol, full compensation for the damages inflicted on Iran according to calculations, the lifting of all primary and secondary sanctions as well as the decisions of the International Atomic Energy Agency Board of Governors and the United Nations Security Council, the release of all blocked assets and financial resources of Iran abroad, and the approval of all these points by a binding United Nations Security Council resolution, the cessation of the war on all fronts, including those conducted against Hezbollah in Lebanon."

"OUR FINGER IS ON THE TRIGGER…”

The statement emphasized that the negotiations with the U.S. side would begin on Friday, April 10, in Islamabad, under "complete distrust," and that the goal was to complete the talks within 15 days, although this period could be extended by mutual agreement. The statement included, "Our finger is on the trigger. A strong response will be given to even the smallest mistake that may come from the enemy."

WHAT HAPPENED?

U.S. President Trump made an important announcement regarding the talks mediated by Pakistan just hours before the deadline he set for Iran on his Truth Social account. Trump stated that the negotiations between the two countries, led by Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Pakistan's Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir, had yielded positive results.

The U.S. President expressed that he accepted Pakistan's proposal to halt possible attacks and open the Strait of Hormuz, stating, "I agree to suspend bombings and attacks on Iran for a two-week period. This will be a bilateral ceasefire."

Trump, who claimed that he had already achieved his military objectives in Iran and stated that they were close to an agreement on a "long-term" peace with Iran, evaluated, "We received a 10-point proposal from Iran, and we believe this is a viable basis for negotiation."

Noting that almost all disputes between the U.S. and Iran in the past have been resolved through consensus, Trump said, "This two-week period will allow for the finalization and completion of the agreement." He also added that it would be an honor for him to represent the countries in the Middle East in resolving a "long-term problem."

ISRAEL AND IRAN ALSO ACCEPTED

Following the U.S., it was reported that Israel and Iran also accepted the ceasefire. An unnamed White House official stated that Iran and Israel considered the two-week ceasefire with Iran announced by U.S. President Donald Trump as part of the agreement, and that Israel agreed to suspend attacks while negotiations were ongoing. It was learned that China intervened at the last moment for Iran to accept the ceasefire, and Beijing requested flexibility from Tehran.

STATEMENT FROM THE PAKISTANI PRIME MINISTER

Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif made a statement regarding the temporary ceasefire achieved between the U.S., Israel, and Iran under his country's mediation. Sharif expressed, "I am very pleased to announce that we have reached an immediate ceasefire that is now in effect on all fronts, including Lebanon, with the U.S. and its allies with Iran."

Sharif expressed his deepest gratitude to the leaders of both countries for reaching a ceasefire, stating, "I invite the delegations of both sides to Islamabad on Friday, April 10, 2026, to reach a comprehensive agreement that will definitively resolve all disputes."
