A Malatya entrepreneur, who started his own business in 2020 after receiving training due to Russian tourists not liking the coffee he prepared at the hotel where he worked in Antalya, exports his products to 8 countries. The young entrepreneur explains that the tourists' dislike for his coffee was a turning point in his life, leading him to develop himself in this field, and he is now working to increase his production capacity to 20 tons.

Onur Aldemir, a 32-year-old living in Malatya, decided to take coffee-making training in 2011 with the support of his managers after Russian tourists did not like the coffee he prepared while working at a hotel in Antalya.

SENDING TO 8 COUNTRIES

Onur Aldemir explained that the tourists' dislike of the coffee was a turning point in his life, leading him to develop himself in this field. Stating that coffee is a special beverage, Aldemir said: "We work with 17 different countries. We buy raw coffee, process it, and export it to 8 countries. We especially send it to companies providing services in Gulf countries like Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait. In addition, we also sell to the USA, the UK, and Balkan countries."

WANTS TO INCREASE PRODUCTION VOLUME TO 20 TONS

Stating that the production amount changes every year according to demand, Aldemir said he is working to export to more countries. Aldemir noted: "Our export is between 8 and 10 tons annually. When we look at it on a package basis, this can reach the 10-15 thousand package range. Before the earthquakes, we could produce in the 15-20 ton range, but our business was destroyed in the earthquakes on February 6, 2023. We had to start from scratch. We are currently at a small business quota. We aim to reach a larger production volume. For now, we aim to increase our volume, which is currently in the 8-10 ton range, to 20 tons in the future and catch up with our competitors in the industry."
