A conservative newspaper in Iran has drawn reactions after threatening U.S. President Donald Trump with assassination for the revenge of Qassem Soleimani, while the Press Monitoring Board warned the newspaper for publishing content "against Iran's interests and security."
The state-run Keyhan newspaper, managed by the ultra-conservative Hossein Shariatmadari, published an article yesterday criticizing President Trump's threats to several countries, stating that Trump would "receive a bullet in his empty head these days for Soleimani's revenge."
CREATED A CRISIS IN IRAN
The American Fox News television, known for its pro-Israel stance, reported on Keyhan's article, stating that "Trump should not allow negotiations with Iran, which threatens him."
The article has drawn reactions from various segments of society, while the Press Monitoring Board, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, issued a warning to the newspaper regarding the article.
"OUR POSITION IS TO BRING THE PERPETRATORS TO INTERNATIONAL COURT"
The Press Monitoring Board stated that publishing content against Iran's security, honor, and interests is prohibited, emphasizing that the government's stance regarding the assassination of Soleimani is to ensure that the perpetrators, including the then U.S. President (Trump), are tried in international court.
