AK Party member Şamil Tayyar made a noteworthy statement regarding Antalya Police Chief İlker Arslan, for whom an arrest warrant has been issued. Tayyar said, "This will not be limited to Police Chief İlker Arslan; it seems that the Antalya operation will grow even larger. I will not mention his name, position, or title to avoid interfering with the investigation. A surprising decision for 'removal from duty' may be announced on Monday."
Antalya Police Chief İlker Arslan was suspended by the Ministry of Interior as part of an investigation conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. After his suspension, a detention order was issued against Arslan. A detention order was also issued against Arslan's wife.
ARREST WARRANT ISSUED
As part of the investigation conducted by the Antalya Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that Antalya Police Chief İlker Arslan, who was suspended by the decision of the Ministry of Interior and against whom a detention order was issued, was in Ankara. It was learned that İlker Arslan, who was invited to the law enforcement unit by officials from the Ankara Provincial Police Department, turned off his mobile phone and went missing shortly after. Following this, an arrest warrant was issued for İlker Arslan.

While the developments have caused a significant public reaction, AK Party member Şamil Tayyar also shared a striking message. Tayyar stated that the Antalya operation would not be limited to Police Chief İlker Arslan, saying, "I am not writing his name, position, and title to avoid hindering the investigation. A surprise 'removal from duty' decision may come on Monday."
