Anti-regime armed groups that are clashing with regime forces in Syria have begun to enter the city center of Aleppo.
For three days, anti-regime armed groups have been advancing towards the city center of Aleppo from the west, clashing with regime forces. Around noon, they broke through the defense lines of regime forces in the outer neighborhoods of the city, including Hamdaniyye, Yeni Halep, and Zehra, and entered the city center of Aleppo from these areas.
The groups also captured the Serakib district, located at the intersection of the M4 and M5 highways in southeastern Idlib, after surrounding it from the north and south branches.
MUNICIPAL BUILDING AND POLICE STATION CAPTURED
The armed groups reached Sadallah El-Cabiri Square, which is centrally located in the city. The opponents also captured the Aleppo police station and the municipal building located there. Prisoners held in jails were also released by the armed groups. Videos circulating on social media showed that the opponents began to recite the call to prayer from the mosques in the areas they captured.

In the ongoing clashes for three days, the armed groups captured a total of 108 settlements and points, with 86 in the rural areas of Aleppo and 22 in Idlib. During this period, anti-regime groups took control of at least 850 square kilometers of territory in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.
On the other hand, in an airstrike carried out by Russian warplanes in the Mare district north of Aleppo this evening, 8 members of the Syrian National Army were killed.
WHAT HAPPENED?
