In the BJK Fibabanka Sports Complex, the Beşiktaş Women's Volleyball Team faced off against Bahçelievler Municipality in the 3rd week of the Sultanlar League. Before the match, chaos erupted in the stands, with kicks and punches flying through the air. IT WAS ALLEGED THAT PRESIDENT BAHADIR INSULTED EKREM KOÇOĞLUIt was claimed that the incident that caused the commotion in the stands before the match was due to Bahçelievler Municipality Mayor Hakan Bahadır insulting Beşiktaş executive Ekrem Koçoğlu. In videos circulating on social media, it was seen that during the fight, President Bahadır's bodyguards were throwing punches with the black-and-white executive and fans. AFTER THE INCIDENT, A STATEMENT CAME FROM BEŞİKTAŞ CLUBIn the statement made by the black-and-white team under the title "Mandatory Statement from Our Club," the following expressions were included: There is no place for bullying, arrogance, and insults in sports halls! We strongly condemn the aggressive and unsportsmanlike behavior of Bahçelievler Municipality Mayor and his bodyguards, who entered the hall during the second set of the match played between our Beşiktaş Women's Volleyball Team and Bahçelievler Municipality Women's Volleyball Team. Upon entering, he questioned why he was not welcomed at the door with great arrogance in the protocol stand, then escalated the situation with provocative and threatening behavior towards our executives, using foul language, and causing injuries to our executives as a result of the intervention of his bodyguards. Unfortunately, in an environment where women and children were present as spectators, they have distanced themselves from sports ethics and morality with their rude behavior. They caused the match to be interrupted for approximately 40 minutes due to the chaos they created. There is absolutely no place for insults, bullying, and abuse in sports arenas. We would like to inform the public that we will file the necessary complaint with the Turkish Volleyball Federation regarding the attack that occurred. Sincerely, Beşiktaş JK
