Following the report, search operations were launched in the area by the gendarmerie, AFAD, IHH, Turquoise, TTAKE, Gökbörü, and Yesevi teams. As a result of the search efforts, which also utilized drones and trained dogs, Arslan was found dead in a snow-covered vacant lot approximately 8 kilometers away from the neighborhood.
