Former Speaker of the Turkish Grand National Assembly Bülent Arınç recently stated in a broadcast, in response to the reminder of his words "Melih Gökçek sold Ankara parcel by parcel," "It has been exactly 10 years since my statement. Not a single prosecutor has called me for a statement. If they call, I will go." In response to Arınç's remarks, Gökçek said, "Sometimes they push a button from somewhere, and now they made him say it as part of the operation to save Yavaş. Arınç comes and goes."
Former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Bülent Arınç recently answered questions related to the agenda during a broadcast he attended. Arınç, in response to the reminder of his words, "Melih Gökçek sold Ankara piece by piece," said, "It has been exactly 10 years since my statement. Not a single prosecutor has called me for a statement. If they call, I will go."
When reminded of his words, "I will make a statement when necessary," Arınç continued his statement with the following expressions; "There is nothing left to be explained. Everything is clear. Let me just say this. Social media is a very irresponsible environment. That statement was watched by millions of people. I said, 'He shaved my beard, I cut off his arm.' The severed arm does not come back, but the beard grows back thicker. So I have not deviated an ounce from the subject.
"I DON'T EVEN WANT TO MENTION GÖKÇEK'S NAME"
Mr. Mansur Yavaş once said, 'I sent nearly 100 files, no action was taken.' I saw something on social media. 'It was intended to consult Bülent Arınç's statement regarding these issues, but he did not go.' It has been exactly 10 years since that day. Not a single prosecutor has called me for a statement. Everything I know is already known. I don't even want to mention Melih Gökçek's name. If the prosecutors call, I will go to give a statement."
A RESPONSE CAME FROM MELİH GÖKÇEK
Former Mayor of Ankara Melih Gökçek responded to Arınç's remarks about him during a live broadcast on TV100.
"OPERATION TO SAVE YAVAŞ"
Gökçek stated, "Bülent Arınç comes and goes. Sometimes they press a button from somewhere, and now they made it sound like an operation to save Yavaş."
