MIT determined that Cemal Karaata, the planner of the assassination of Russia's Ambassador to Ankara, Andrey Karlov, changed his name to "Salih Ada" and lost his trail in Canada. It was found that Karaata worked as a psychotherapist for a company, focusing on anxiety, depression, and anger management.
It has been determined that Cemal Karaata, who is considered one of the fugitive planners of the assassination of Andrey Karlov, the former Russian Ambassador to Ankara, and who is reported to have held critical positions in the FETÖ's secret MIT structure, is living in Canada under a changed name.
According to information obtained from security sources, it has been established that Karaata, who is wanted in Turkey with a red notice, changed his name to Salih Ada after fleeing to Canada. It is assessed that Karaata aimed to stay away from official records with the name change, and it has been reported that he is living comfortably in Canada.
Sources reported that Karaata is working as a psychotherapist at a company named "Qualia Counselling Services" under the name "Salih Ada," providing services in the fields of anxiety, depression, and anger management. It has been noted that the individual operates at the address "Waterloo The Boardwalk Suite 406."
It has been stated that Karaata, who is mentioned as one of the important figures in FETÖ's secret MIT structure, used the code names "Sadık" and "Yavuz" within the organization and served as an assistant professor in the English Department of Fatih University, which was closed in Turkey before he fled. Security sources assessed that Karaata used his academic identity to conceal espionage activities.
FEAR OF ABDUCTION BY RUSSIA
Security sources reported that one of the main reasons for Karaata's name change is the fear of being targeted or abducted by Russia. It has been learned that the fugitive suspect acted with this fear during his time in Canada and maintained periodic contacts with the country's security units.
FETÖ'S OVERSEAS STRUCTURE IS BEING CLOSELY MONITORED
Sources stated that FETÖ continues to protect its members who are in a fugitive situation in Europe and the Americas, particularly ensuring the safety of those involved in espionage activities. In this context, it has been determined that some members of the organization have changed their names in the countries they are in, using different Turkish or foreign names for themselves and their family members.
It is also being evaluated by security units that the organization has appointed secret imams in its structures in various countries, especially in the USA, and that salaries are paid to organization members under different titles, particularly through charter school structures.
BASIC NEEDS ARE MET BY THE ORGANIZATION
Sources pointed out that many FETÖ members linked to the secret MIT structure have been sentenced to long prison terms in cases such as the Karlov assassination and MIT trucks, following investigations conducted after the July 15 coup attempt, and noted that some individuals in the upper ranks of the organization have fled abroad to live comfortably.
In this context, it is assessed that Karaata is also living in Canada with the organization's resources, and that the organization covers the education expenses of his children as well as housing and other basic needs.
