In a bribery and money laundering operation based in Bursa, 15 people were arrested, including former CHP mayor Turgay Erdem. A judicial control decision was issued for his wife, Zeynep Terzioğlu Erdem, and 7 other suspects. During the searches, cash, jewelry, real estate, vehicles, and bank and cryptocurrency accounts were seized, and a company was appointed a trustee by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF).
The prosecutor's office in Bursa has completed the interrogation of 22 suspects, including former Nilüfer Mayor Turgay Erdem, who was detained and referred to the courthouse as part of an investigation into the suspicion of "establishing and managing an organization for the purpose of committing crimes, being a member of an organization established for the purpose of committing crimes, bribery, and laundering assets derived from crime."

Meanwhile, it was reported that efforts are ongoing to capture one suspect who is still wanted.
WHAT HAPPENED? As part of the investigation, Erdem and 20 suspects were detained on October 10, and one of the suspects was detained yesterday at Sabiha Gökçen Airport while entering the country from abroad.
22 suspects, including Turgay Erdem, his wife, his brother-in-law, some municipal employees, contractors, and the owner and employees of a construction inspection firm, were referred to the courthouse yesterday.
