A new video has been released regarding the incident in the Güngören district of Istanbul, where 17-year-old Atlas Çağlayan was stabbed to death. In the footage, the voices of nearby citizens can be heard crying out, "Call an ambulance," while the Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate stated that the notification was made at 20:20 and that the teams arrived at the scene at 20:33.

A new video has emerged regarding the incident in which 17-year-old Atlas Çağlayan was stabbed to death in the Güngören district of Istanbul. In the footage, a person nearby can be heard panicking and shouting, "Call an ambulance." The panic experienced by the young people at that moment is striking.

TRADESMAN: WE DIDN'T STOP THE BLEEDING, THE AMBULANCE ARRIVED LATE

Yener Başkutlu, a tradesman who owns a restaurant at the location where Atlas was stabbed, claimed that the ambulance arrived late while recounting the events. Başkutlu stated that the wound was very deep and expressed that they waited a long time for the ambulance.

According to a report by Sabah Newspaper, Başkutlu said, "The wound was deep, we couldn't stop the bleeding. We called the ambulance multiple times. An ambulance did not come from Güngören, it came from Bayrampaşa. We waited for about 40-45 minutes for the ambulance."

After the incident, claims emerged on social media and in the public that the 112 Emergency Service teams intervened late. Especially the newly surfaced video footage raised questions about the response time.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM THE PROVINCIAL HEALTH DIRECTORATE

The Istanbul Provincial Health Directorate made a written statement regarding the claims. The statement emphasized that some claims in the public regarding the judicial injury incident that occurred in Güngören on January 14 needed clarification.

"THE REPORT CAME AT 20:20, THE TEAM ARRIVED IN 13 MINUTES"

The statement indicated that the ambulance reached the scene in 13 minutes and included the following expressions:

"The report reached the 112 Emergency Call Center at 20:20, our ambulance team was assigned to the case at 20:21, and the team arrived at the scene at 20:33. Another ambulance team located nearby also arrived at the scene as the second team at 20:35."

INITIAL INTERVENTION AND HOSPITAL TRANSFER PROCESS

The Provincial Health Directorate reported that the first medical intervention was performed at the scene for approximately 9 minutes, the patient was removed from the scene at 20:42, and was transferred to Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital at 20:49. The statement emphasized that the process was carried out swiftly in accordance with official records.

At the end of the statement, it was said, "The process has been carried out urgently in accordance with official records. We pray for the deceased citizen and extend our condolences to their family and loved ones."
