In a rocket attack targeting Baghdad International Airport in Iraq, 5 security personnel from the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Unit were injured. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, and Iraqi authorities have not made any statements regarding the matter.

A rocket attack was carried out at Baghdad International Airport, located in the capital of Iraq, Baghdad.

5 INJURED

Security sources reported that during the attack carried out in the evening hours, one of the rockets hit the headquarters of the Counter-Terrorism Unit located at the airport, injuring 5 security personnel from the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Unit. Security sources stated that the injured were taken to the hospital for treatment but did not share information regarding their health status. No one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet.

Attack on the logistical support unit of the US Embassy in Baghdad

CLAIM OF "BELONGING TO THE US EMBASSY IN BAGHDAD"

On the other hand, according to information based on security sources in the local press, the headquarters hit by the rocket belongs to the logistical support unit of the US Embassy in Baghdad. While no one has claimed responsibility for the attack yet, no statement has been made by Iraqi authorities regarding the matter.
