HE WAS STRUCK ON THE HEAD AND BACK
According to reports in the Czech press, Babis was attacked by someone from the crowd around 6:00 PM local time during an election rally held in the village of Dobra in the Moravian-Silesian region of eastern Czech Republic. It was reported that Babis was struck on the head and back with a crutch by the assailant.
ASSAILANT IN CUSTODY
The 70-year-old politician was taken to a local hospital for examination and a brain scan after the attack, and no information was provided regarding his health condition. CZECH PRIME MINISTER FIALA CONDEMNED THE ATTACK
