MHP Leader Bahçeli strongly warned those in the U.S. and Israel who stated, "After Iran, the new target is Turkey." Bahçeli said, "Whoever thinks of coming at us must accept the majesty and violence they will face in advance. No state should make a wrong calculation. We will defend our homeland by rising a thousand times. Cowards die every day, heroes die once. There is no village beyond death; if we die, we become martyrs, if we survive, we become veterans."
The Chairman of the MHP, Devlet Bahçeli, responded sharply to the statements made by American and Israeli figures who said, "After Iran, the new target is Turkey," during his party's parliamentary group meeting.
"WHOEVER COMES AT US MUST ACCEPT THE MAJESTY THEY WILL ENCOUNTER"
Recalling the words of Israeli and American figures, Bahçeli stated, "Dear friends, it is the honor and dignity of such a precious and exceptional nation to stand against any injustice, to object to any lawlessness, and to listen to any cry of the oppressed. Both the Tel Aviv Declaration and former Israeli Prime Minister Bennett have made claims that Turkey is the new Iran. The murderous Prime Minister of Israel has joined the chorus of evil with his statement that we are threatened by both the Shia and Sunni axes. Another enemy of Turkey and Turks, Rubin, has questioned whether Ankara will be like Tehran in 2036, while a retired colonel from the United States has absurdly reinforced the notion that after Iran, it will be Turkey's turn."
"WE ARE THE VANGUARDS OF A HEROIC NATION"
Emphasizing that these words cannot be ignored, Bahçeli said, "Since such claims have gained popularity recently, it is naturally impossible for us to ignore these deviant views and threats. There is no village beyond death. For if we die, we will be martyrs; if we survive, we will be veterans, which is a historical and spiritual truth. We are a blessed will that possesses this belief. The owner of this will, the great nation, has not yet been granted by Almighty God a contemporary center that will threaten, subdue, or capture the tremendous heroism of the Turkish-Islamic ideal that has stamped its mark on the earth. Whoever comes at us, whoever thinks of coming, must also accept the majesty and severity they will encounter. No one should think that we will cease to call the truth the truth and the falsehood the falsehood. No treacherous faction or country should make a wrong calculation. If we die once, we will rise a thousand times; if we die a thousand times, we will rise once, and we will stand by this homeland and this nation until the end. A coward dies every day, a hero dies once. We are not cowards; we are the vanguards of a heroic nation today."
