Operations against counterfeit alcoholic beverages continue ahead of the New Year. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that in the last two weeks, operations conducted in 17 provinces have uncovered 6 illegal alcohol production facilities and seized a large quantity of counterfeit alcoholic beverages and ethyl alcohol. Minister Yerlikaya reported that legal action has been taken against 66 suspects in these operations.

66 SUSPECTS PROCESSED
In the last two weeks, operations against "Alcoholic Beverage Smuggling and Counterfeiting" were conducted by the Gendarmerie in 17 provinces, resulting in the seizure of 27,886 liters of counterfeit/illegal alcoholic beverages and 67,994 liters of ethyl alcohol. Additionally, 6 illegal alcoholic beverage production facilities were uncovered. Legal action was taken against 66 suspects during the operation.

In his statement, Minister Yerlikaya said: "In coordination with our Chief Public Prosecutor's Offices and the Gendarmerie KOM Department; as a result of the efforts of our Provincial Gendarmerie Command, we conducted operations in Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Aydın, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Denizli, Hatay, Isparta, Istanbul, Izmir, Karaman, Kırklareli, Manisa, Ordu, Rize, and Tekirdağ."
