In the Manavgat district of Antalya, Ömer Y. consumed alcohol at his own market with two individuals with whom he had a previous feud. After a while, a dispute broke out between the parties, and Ömer Y. shot and killed the two individuals with a firearm. While being taken to the police station, the suspect, who surrendered, stated, "They tried to take me down. That's why I killed them."
A shocking incident occurred at a market located on Manavgat Street in the Mimar Sinan neighborhood of Manavgat district in Antalya. Abdulkadir Erkan (33) and Nurettin Süleyman Ertem (56) consumed alcohol at a market owned by Ömer Y., with whom they allegedly had a prior feud.
KILLED TWO PEOPLE
After a while, a dispute between the parties escalated into a fight, during which Ömer Y. fired at Abdulkadir Erkan and Nurettin Süleyman Ertem with an unlicensed pistol. Upon hearing the gunshots, citizens alerted the authorities, and 112 emergency medical teams and teams from the Manavgat Police Department were dispatched to the scene.
"THEY TRIED TO TAKE OVER, THAT'S WHY I KILLED THEM"
The owner of the business, Ömer Y., surrendered to the arriving teams with the unlicensed pistol used in the incident, while medical teams determined that two individuals lying on the ground had lost their lives. It was reported that Ömer Y. allegedly stated to the police as he was taken into custody, "They tried to take over. That's why I killed them."
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
The bodies of Abdulkadir Erkan and Nurettin Süleyman Ertem, who lost their lives, were sent to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institution after examinations by the Manavgat Police Department Crime Scene Investigation, the Forensic Medicine, and the Public Prosecutor.
An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident.
