In the investigation regarding the death of 20-year-old university student Teslime Hanedan, who was found shot in the head with a gun in an olive grove in Aydın, an indictment has been prepared. Following the incident, her 19-year-old boyfriend, Efe Fidan, who was taken into custody and arrested, is facing a lawsuit filed by the prosecutor's office demanding aggravated life imprisonment. New details that have emerged in the investigation file are chilling.
In Aydın, an indictment has been prepared against Efe Fidan (19), the boyfriend of university student Teslime Hanedan (20), who was found shot in the head with a gun in an olive grove, requesting aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of 'premeditated murder against a woman.'
HE CLAIMED TESLİME COMMITTED SUICIDE
The incident occurred on August 6 at around 11:30 PM in the Kalfaköy area of Aydın's Efeler district. Teslime Hanedan, a student at Aydın Adnan Menderes University, was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head in an olive grove. Her boyfriend Efe Fidan, who was with her at the time, was taken into custody as a murder suspect and was arrested by the court. In his initial statement, Fidan claimed he found Teslime using a phone tracking application and that she was already dead when he arrived at the scene. However, in his defense in court, he alleged that they went to the olive grove to commit suicide together, but he changed his mind, and Teslime allegedly committed suicide by saying, "I love you."
TESLİME WANTED TO BREAK UP, HER BOYFRIEND DID NOT ACCEPT
Following the investigation, the Aydın Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment against Efe Fidan, requesting aggravated life imprisonment for the crime of 'premeditated murder against a woman.' The indictment, accepted by the Aydın 2nd High Criminal Court, emphasized that the statements of the detained suspect Efe Fidan were contradictory and pointed out that there was serious animosity between Hanedan and Fidan due to issues of separation, threats, violence, money, and drug allegations. It was noted that Teslime Hanedan wanted to break up, but Efe Fidan did not accept this, sent heavy threats and insulting messages, and had also applied violence the day before the incident, according to witness statements and message records in the file. Additionally, contrary to Fidan's statement that "Teslime shot herself after saying 'I love you,'" the recent messages contained severe insults and threats.
NOT A CLOSE RANGE, BUT A NEAR RANGE SHOT
The indictment also highlighted that there was no evidence of Teslime Hanedan's suicide, no traces of gunshot residue were found, and it was determined that the shot was not 'close range' but 'near range.' It was recorded that the procurement of the gun and the camera footage at the scene did not corroborate Fidan's statement that "Teslime was with him when she took the gun and even checked it at her waist before putting it in her bag." It was also shown in the evidence that the suspect used threatening expressions aimed at murder in his conversations before and after the incident.
HE INJURED TESLİME'S HAND AND CHOKED HER
The indictment also stated that Efe Fidan chased Hanedan and her companions in a car after learning that they had used drugs with Abdulkadir Ç. and two other men the day before the incident, and cut them off. It was noted that Fidan assaulted Abdulkadir Ç., whom he cut off, and could not assault Teslime because she locked the door. It was included in the file that after the incident, Fidan met with Teslime Hanedan and Elif Sıla A. at home and injured Hanadan's hand and choked her.
Additionally, the indictment mentioned that Fidan threatened Hanedan, who said she spent the 16,000 TL he gave her before the incident, by saying he would call her mother. Following this, Hanedan stated that she would tell her father, "Your son sells and uses drugs," which led Fidan to threaten her with death.
Furthermore, the phone correspondence between Teslime Hanedan and Efe Fidan was also included in the indictment. In the phone call records, it was expressed that Hanedan wanted to get rid of drugs, but Fidan continued to use and prevented her from quitting.
Considering all these matters together, it was concluded in the indictment that Fidan had premeditatedly taken Hanedan to the scene and shot her in the head with a gun, disguising it as a suicide.
The trial of Efe Fidan will begin on March 12, 2026.
