The U.S. Department of Justice has begun to release some of the files related to billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while facing charges of creating a prostitution network involving underage girls. The heavily redacted files included photographs of figures such as Bill Clinton and Michael Jackson.

"The 'Epstein Files Transparency Act'" has passed Congress, and following the announcement that the related documents will be disclosed within 30 days, developments regarding these documents have emerged.

Accordingly, some records related to the Epstein investigation have begun to be published by the U.S. Department of Justice.

The records in question have been met with great excitement in the public, with expectations that they could provide the most detailed look at nearly two decades of government investigations into Epstein's sexual abuse of underage girls.

Speaking to Fox News, U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche announced that they would publish not all but some of the documents.

Blanche stated that the purpose of not publishing all of them is to protect the victims, saying, "That’s why what we do is review each document we produce individually and ensure that the name, identity, and story of each victim are fully protected to the extent necessary. Therefore, I expect that we will publish more documents in the coming weeks."

PHOTOS OF FORMER U.S. PRESIDENT CLINTON AND MICHAEL JACKSON ARE ALSO INCLUDED

According to a report by the New York Times (NYT), most of the published materials appear to originate from three investigations into Epstein's interactions with young women.

The first of these was the initial investigation launched by police in Palm Beach, Florida, in 2005, the second was the subsequent investigation conducted by federal prosecutors in Florida that resulted in Epstein's guilty plea in 2008, and the third was the final investigation conducted by prosecutors in Manhattan in 2019, which was unresolved due to Epstein's death in prison while the case was ongoing.

The published records also include photographs of notable figures such as former U.S. President Bill Clinton and American singer Michael Jackson.

LIMITED REFERENCE TO TRUMP

Trump's name appears rarely in the documents. Most of the disclosed photographs consist of images that have previously been made public. Although Trump's name appears in Epstein's address book, flight logs, and message notes, these were already known.

This raises the question of whether there will be new information regarding Trump in the upcoming document releases.

Trump has vehemently denied allegations that he was aware of Epstein's sex trafficking for exploitation. He stated that he was friends with Epstein for a time but that their relationship later soured.

THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN CASE

Epstein, who was charged with sexually abusing dozens of girls under the age of 18, including the youngest being 14, and creating a prostitution network, was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, on August 10, 2019.

The disclosed Epstein case files included famous names such as Prince Andrew, U.S. President Donald Trump, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, actor Kevin Spacey, singer Michael Jackson, illusionist David Copperfield, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.

The FBI, after conducting an investigation with the U.S. Department of Justice, stated that they found no evidence of a "client list" involving famous individuals, including government officials, celebrities, and businesspeople, who were allegedly killed to cover up their crimes, concluding that Jeffrey Epstein actually committed suicide in his cell.

American journalist Tucker Carlson also claimed that Epstein "worked for Israel, that everyone in Washington thought the same way but could not say it openly."

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Epstein's girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell had asked acquaintances to write letters to him for his 50th birthday, one of which was allegedly from Trump.
