In the Akhisar district of Manisa, a chain collision involving four vehicles occurred when a truck crashed into a tractor from behind. Olive worker Gülcan Gökçebak and her mother Ümmü Gülsüm Gökçebak lost their lives, while seven others were injured, one of them seriously. Following the incident, the truck driver was taken into custody.

HORRIFIC ACCIDENT
The accident occurred at the 10th kilometer of the Akhisar-Balıkesir road, near the Gökçeahmet ramp. According to reports, a tractor carrying olive workers traveling from Balıkesir to Akhisar was hit from behind by a truck moving in the same direction. The force of the impact caused another truck coming from behind to crash into the truck that had suddenly braked. At that moment, the chain collision escalated when an open-body truck also crashed into the slowing vehicles.
2 DEAD, 1 SERIOUSLY INJURED 7 INJURED
Gülcan Gökçebak and her mother Ümmü Gülsüm Gökbacek, who were among the olive workers in the tractor, lost their lives. 2 workers in the tractor and 5 workers in the open-body truck involved in the chain collision were injured and taken to nearby hospitals. It was learned that one of the injured is in serious condition.
TRUCK DRIVER IN CUSTODY
Meanwhile, the truck driver who crashed into the tractor from behind was taken into custody on the grounds that he caused the chain collision. The suspect's procedures are ongoing.
