9 PEOPLE RELEASED

The seventh hearing of the case involving 200 defendants, including 7 mayors who were suspended from their duties, was held as part of the Aziz İhsan Aktaş organized crime investigation.

The court panel decided to release Adana Metropolitan Mayor Zeydan Karalar, along with Ali Fırat Baycan, Cem Alper Akyüz, İbrahim Koçyiğit, İbrahim Halil Çalış, Mehmet Ataş, Mert Çelik, Müzeyyen Karakaş, and Oktay Aktaş, who were suspended after their arrest.

The panel ruled that the detention of the other 24 defendants would continue. The hearing was postponed to Monday, February 9.
