And now you say we gave 20 thousand lira, let them celebrate. In 2019, the number of those receiving the lowest pension was one million. In 2002, it was 1.2 million, in 2023 it is 2 million, in July 2024 it will be 3.7 million, in July 2025 it will be 4 million, and now it is 4.9 million. I will also say something to our retirees; you will not vote for those who brought you to this situation by reading verses and hadiths. If you vote for those who are loyal to their covenant and trust, they will correct this picture.
Widows and orphans are in a more dire situation than retirees. The allowance for orphans is 8 thousand lira. They can only eat simit without tea. If you will not take care of orphans, retirees, and youth, why are you sitting in those chairs? Our promise is this; we will establish a government that will be loyal to both the trust and the covenant. We will establish a government that will appear as it is and be as it appears.
