TEMPORARY SPECIAL SECURITY ZONE DECLARED
The Şırnak Governorship announced that the Dönmezler-Kovankaya, Tahtareş, Hüsrevpaşa-Suhurpaşayayla, and İncebeldağları regions in the Beytüşşebap district have been declared a 'temporary special security zone' between June 17-19.
In the statement from the governorship, the following expressions were included:
"Within the administrative borders of Şırnak province; in order to ensure national security, maintain public order and safety, prevent crime, protect fundamental rights and freedoms as well as the rights and freedoms of others, and to prevent the occurrence of violent incidents and any negative situations that may arise, based on the 11th article (c) of the Law No. 5442 on Provincial Administration and the 32/A article of the Law No. 2565 on Military Prohibited Zones and Security Zones; the Şırnak Governorship has declared a 'Temporary Special Security Zone' for two (2) days between June 17, 2025 (inclusive) and June 19, 2025 (inclusive) for citizens who may go to the Dönmezler-Kovankaya, Tahtareş, Hüsrevpaşa-Suhurpaşayayla, and İncebeldağları regions within the borders of Beytüşşebap district, in order to prevent them from being harmed by illegal elements in these regions and the measures to be taken against them. Our citizens can enter the declared areas during these dates by obtaining permission from the authorized authorities under the Law No. 2565 on Military Prohibited Zones and Security Zones; otherwise, legal action will be taken in accordance with the 66th article of the Law No. 5442 on Provincial Administration. This is respectfully announced to the public."
