"Destici reacts very strongly to the discussions on the 'Solution Process': We will not allow it to be imposed on our nation again."

12.10.2024 19:10

At the opening reception of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, discussions began about whether "a new resolution process is starting" after the leader of the Nationalist Movement Party, Devlet Bahçeli, shook hands with deputies from the DEM Party. The Chairman of the Great Unity Party, Mustafa Destici, reacted to the discussions, stating, "I emphasize once again; we will never allow and will not permit the poisonous sweets disguised as a resolution process, dialogue, and reconciliation to be forced upon our nation again."

The political agenda has become the scene of a new debate regarding the 'Solution Process' following MHP Leader Bahçeli's handshake with the deputies with DEM. BBP Chairman Destici reacted to these statements, stating that he put an end to them on behalf of his party.

"WE HAVE NEVER ACCEPTED AND WILL NEVER ACCEPT AS A POLITICAL PARTY"

Destici stated that for a while now, there have been efforts to legitimize the extensions of terrorist organizations through the terms 'solution process', 'dialogue', and 'reconciliation', saying, "Without our journalist friends needing to ask questions, I want to explain our stance and thoughts, which have never changed and will never change, in a way that those who do not understand, those who pretend not to understand, or those who resist understanding can comprehend. We have never accepted and will never accept a community established by the orders of a terrorist organization, whose leaders, candidates, policies, and discourses are determined by a bloody terrorist organization, as a political party. Western countries, which do not allow any structure or activity associated with violence to exist anywhere on the democratic ground, do not see or seek goodwill in the act of stabbing our state, our democracy, and our social life with the extensions of a terrorist organization that has caused over 40,000 deaths," he said.

"WE MUST NOT BE BITTEN BY THE SAME SNAKES"

Destici emphasized, "For the sake of understanding our stance very well, I say once again; we will never consent to and will not allow the poisoned sweets of the solution process, dialogue, and reconciliation to be fed to our nation again." He continued, "Look, the political party of the terrorist organization wants to hold a rally in Diyarbakır on Sunday for the Imralı monster, the killer of 40,000 people, under the guise of freedom. We need to see what courage even mentioning the solution process gives. We all know what happened in the past. We must not be bitten by the same snakes, in the same holes. Governors say, 'There is no permission for any political party's actions.' The sick man Ahmet Türk comes out and says, 'We will not take a step back.' What happened? When did you get better? You were dying in the hospital. Another terrorist deputy comes out and challenges the state, but I congratulate our Diyarbakır Governor and our Ministry of Interior," he said.

"THE DEATH PENALTY MUST BE REINSTATED"

Destici stated that the recent social events have caused an uproar and suggested that changes should be made in the penal system and that the principle of deterrence should be re-established by increasing the rates of punishment. Destici said, "Life imprisonment without parole must be reinstated. The death penalty is a necessity for Turkey and the Muslim Turkish nation. The death penalty is a must for today's Turkey, and it must absolutely be reinstated. BBP has voiced these truths for the first time and will continue to do so. Because BBP is the conscience and guarantee of the nation," he said.
