In her statement regarding the issue, Ikra stated that she did not accept the accusations, saying, "I stated in my testimony that I do not accept the accusations against me, and that I am sensitive to women's rights and femicides. I expressed that braiding hair does not constitute a crime according to the Turkish Penal Code and the 657 Public Servants Law, and that an attempt was made to create a perception against me."
