The leader of the PKK, Abdullah Öcalan's call for the organization to disband and lay down arms was met with resistance from the leader of the terrorist organization YPG/SDG, Mazlum Abdi, who stated, "It does not include us." Sırrı Süreyya Önder from the Imralı delegation emphasized that the process encompasses all structures, saying, "The weapons are out of play; it applies to everyone."
Following the call of the terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, statements continue to come from different structures of the organization.
SDG SAID THEY WERE NOT INCLUDED
The Iranian wing of the PKK, PJAK, also announced that they support the call. Salih Muslim, the former co-chair of YPG/PYD, stated, "We agree with Öcalan's statements. If we are allowed to operate as a political group, we will lay down our arms," while the leader of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), which is structured by YPG, Mazlum Abdi, said that the call did not include them. The response to Mazlum Abdi came from Sırrı Süreyya Önder, a member of the Imralı delegation. Önder said, "It fundamentally includes everyone. The YPG structure is also a formation inspired by Öcalan. The arms are out of the equation. It is valid for everyone."
ÖNDER: THE FIRST STAGE HAS BEEN COMPLETED
After the statement made to the PKK from Imralı, "Dissolve yourselves," attention turned to the steps to be taken. Sırrı Süreyya Önder, a member of the DEM Party and Istanbul MP, stated, "The first stage has been successfully completed. The valuable, strategic, vital, and most important part was here. Because everyone expressed a declaration of will."
ÖNDER: WE HAVE NO BARGAIN OR CONDITION IN THIS MATTER
Sırrı Süreyya Önder explained the current situation regarding the process initiated by MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli during a live broadcast. He stated that there are no conditions for the process. "I assure you on my honor that there is no bargain or condition for this matter. So, what will happen next? For the process to be carried out from now on, certain technical, infrastructural, legal, and political instruments are needed. These are not conditions for this process but are necessary. We will not divide this country, nor will we allow it to be divided," he said.
ÖNDER: THE CALL FUNDAMENTALLY INCLUDES EVERYONE
Önder was also asked whether the call for arms to the PKK includes the YPG. Önder replied, "It fundamentally includes everyone. This will was declared.
