The dust cloud coming from Syria has been effective in the border districts of central Şanlıurfa. The dust, which became effective from the afternoon hours, covered the skies of the Ceylanpınar district.
THE CITY HAS OFFICIALLY TURNED RED
As the visibility dropped to as low as 20 meters in the district, it was almost painted red, while the dust cloud reached the center of Şanlıurfa in the following hours. Authorities warned that due to the dust cloud, children, the elderly, and citizens with chronic illnesses may experience respiratory difficulties and advised them to be cautious.
Merchants, who say they encounter intense dust clouds several times a year, stated that on days when dust density is high, citizens stay indoors and there is not much shopping.
