Our soldiers who were martyred in the military cargo plane crash in Georgia were bid farewell on their final journey in their hometowns. Tears flowed like a river during the funeral ceremonies, and heartbreaking moments were experienced. A large number of people attended the funeral ceremonies.

The C-130 military cargo plane with tail number 68-1609 belonging to the Air Force Command crashed on November 11 at the Azerbaijan-Georgia border, resulting in the martyrdom of 20 soldiers.



LAST DUTY TO OUR MARTYRS



A ceremony was held for the martyrs at the Mürted Air Base Command in Ankara. During the ceremony, a moment of silence was observed, and the Quran was recited. Later, Deputy President of Religious Affairs Hafız Osman Şahin prayed for the martyrs. After their identities were read, the remains of the martyrs were sent to their hometowns on planes.



The ceremony was attended by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, members of parliament, the TSK Command Staff, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, Azerbaijani Air Force Commander Major General Namig İslamzade, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Ankara Reşad Mammadov, and the families of the martyrs.



Nineteen of the martyrs are being buried today in ceremonies held in their hometowns. Only the funeral of Martyr Air Pilot Lieutenant Colonel Gökhan Korkmaz will be held on Saturday, November 15, in Istanbul.

Martyr Air Pilot Lieutenant Cüneyt Kandemir, Airplane Maintenance Senior Master Sergeant Ümit İnce, and Air Transport Specialist Corporal Cem Dolapci were bid farewell in Ankara.

A funeral ceremony was held for the martyrs at Ahmet Hamdi Akseki Mosque.



The ceremony was attended by the families and relatives of the martyrs, as well as Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan, Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı, MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, BBP Chairman Mustafa Destici, CHP Group Deputy Chairman Murat Emir, Presidential Advisor Turgut Aslan, Chief of General Staff General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, Force Commanders, Ankara Governor Vasip Şahin, some members of parliament, political party representatives, and citizens.

The martyrs' bodies were placed on a gun carriage following the funeral prayer held after the Friday prayer, accompanied by takbirs. Later, the bodies of martyrs İnce and Dolapci were taken to Cebeci Martyrdom, while the body of martyr Kandemir was taken to Gölbaşı Ballıkpınarı Cemetery for burial.



It was seen that the wife of martyr Air Pilot Lieutenant Cüneyt Kandemir, Defne Kandemir, wore her husband's identification tag around her neck, kissed his photo, and embraced her husband's clothing. Some relatives of the martyrs prayed by stopping the funeral vehicle during its passage.



AIR PILOT LIEUTENANT CÜNEYT KANDEMİR



Martyr Air Pilot Lieutenant Cüneyt Kandemir was serving in Kayseri and was 31 years old. The martyr had married last year. Before going to Azerbaijan, Kandemir visited his father Adil Kandemir, who lives in Ankara, and sought his blessing. The martyr's body was buried in Gölbaşı Ballıkpınarı Cemetery in Ankara.

The funeral of martyr Specialist Corporal Cem Dolapci was held at Cebeci Martyrdom in Ankara.

The news reached the family home of Senior Master Sergeant Ümit İnce in the Karabağlar district of İzmir. The martyr's body was buried at Cebeci Martyrdom in Ankara.
