Economists warn about inflation: CPI may increase by 2.34% in July.

According to a survey of economists, inflation is expected to increase by 2.34% in July. If this rate materializes, the annual inflation will decrease from 35.05% to 33.90%. The year-end inflation forecast has been updated to 30.32%.

The expectation survey regarding the inflation data for July, which will be announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) on Monday, August 5, was conducted by AA Finance with the participation of 17 economists.

IT IS ESTIMATED THAT CPI WILL INCREASE BY 2.34%

According to the survey, the average monthly increase expected by economists in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for July was 2.34%. Expectations ranged from 1.65% to 2.90%.

In line with this rate, it is expected that the annual inflation, which was 35.05% in the previous month, will decrease to 33.90% as of July.

The economists' year-end inflation expectation for the end of 2025 was 30.32% as of July. In June, the CPI had increased by 1.37% on a monthly basis. The economists' forecasts for 2025 and the actual monthly inflation rates are as follows:
