Emails mentioning former President Donald Trump have emerged during the trial of billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while facing charges of operating a sex trafficking ring involving underage girls. The emails, released by the Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee, contain allegations that Trump "was aware of the abuse network" and "spent hours with one of the victims."

The Democratic members of the House Oversight Committee in the U.S. published emails sent by billionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being prosecuted for allegedly running a sex trafficking ring involving underage girls, to his girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell and author Michael Wolff.

CLAIM THAT TRUMP 'KNEW ABOUT THE ABUSE RING': SPENT HOURS TOGETHER

In an email Epstein sent to Maxwell in 2011, it was claimed that U.S. President Donald Trump "spent hours" with one of the victims whose name was concealed at his home. In another email dated 2019 that billionaire Epstein sent to Wolff, he was quoted saying about Trump, "Of course, he knew about the girls because he had asked Ghislaine to stop." It was noted that the emails were delivered to the House Oversight Committee by an unnamed individual and that the names of Epstein's victims were kept confidential.

TRUMP RESPONDED: DEMOCRATS WILL DO ANYTHING TO HIDE HOW FAILED THEY ARE

On the other hand, Trump quickly responded to the Democratic politicians publishing emails about him. The U.S. President stated, "Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein hoax again because they will do anything to hide how failed they are on the government shutdown and many other issues."

Describing the posts as a "trap," Trump said, "Only a very bad or stupid Republican would fall for this trap. The Democrats have caused our country a $1.5 trillion loss by ruthlessly shutting it down and putting many people at risk, and they must pay the price. We should not be distracted by Epstein or any other issue, and all Republicans interested in this matter should focus solely on reopening our country and fixing the great damage caused by the Democrats."

THE JEFFREY EPSTEIN CASE

Epstein, who was charged with sexually abusing dozens of girls under the age of 18, including the youngest being 14, and running a sex trafficking ring, was found dead in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan, New York, on August 10, 2019.

The disclosed Epstein case files included famous names such as Prince Andrew, U.S. President Donald Trump, former U.S. President Bill Clinton, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, actor Kevin Spacey, singer Michael Jackson, illusionist David Copperfield, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, and former New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson.

The FBI also stated that, following an investigation with the U.S. Department of Justice, there was no evidence of a "client list" consisting of famous individuals, and it was concluded that Epstein, who was alleged to have been murdered to cover up the crimes of individuals including government officials, celebrities, and businessmen, actually committed suicide in his cell.

U.S. journalist Tucker Carlson also claimed that Epstein "worked for Israel, that everyone in Washington thought the same way, but it couldn't be said openly."

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported that Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's girlfriend, asked acquaintances to write letters to him for his 50th birthday, one of which was claimed to be from Trump.
