The missile attempt against the US-UK joint military base Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean has created a critical turning point regarding the course of the ongoing war in the Middle East. This move, which emerged while conflicts in the region continue, demonstrated that Tehran has exceeded the known limits of its military capacity.
A FIRST IN WAR
According to experts, Iran's ability to target Diego Garcia, located approximately 4,000 kilometers away, reveals that the country's ballistic missile range is much higher than previously thought. There was a general consensus that Iran's missile capacity was limited to 2,000 kilometers.
MISSILES COULD REACH LONDON
This new situation directly concerns not only the US but also Europe. Experts emphasize that if missiles with the same range are used in the opposite direction, London could also be within striking distance. It is stated that this situation could change the approach of the UK and the European Union towards the war.
THE US MAINLAND COULD BE WITHIN RANGE
On the other hand, it is noted that the rocket tests conducted as part of Iran's space program may have laid the groundwork for intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) technology. This theoretically strengthens the assessments that the US mainland could also fall within potential range.

US-ISRAEL'S ATTACKS ON IRAN
While negotiations continue between Tehran and Washington, Israel and the US launched a military attack on Iran on February 28. Iran responded with attacks on targets it identified in several regional countries, including Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Bahrain, where US bases are located, in addition to Israel.
