THE HOUSE OF THEIR NEIGHBORS THEY SOUGHT REFUGE IN ALSO BURNED The Kaya family had to seek refuge with their neighbors after the fires. After fires broke out in the house they went to sleep in at night, the family was forced to stay outside and requested help from the authorities.
"WE GO OUTSIDE, LOOK BACK AND THERE ARE FLAMES" İsmail Kaya, who stated that such an incident had never happened in the house they have lived in for 15 years, claims that their house is catching fire spontaneously in the last month. Kaya, who requested help from the authorities, said:
"Our house has been burning for a month. All our belongings are burning. In the last fire, our 2-month-old child was burned. His face was burned, and he is currently receiving treatment in the intensive care unit. Our house has become unusable. All our belongings have burned. We do not know the cause of the fires. Our house is catching fire spontaneously. We go outside, look back, and there are flames. We have started to fear for our lives. We have applied to some places for a solution, but we have not reached a conclusion. We moved to another place, and a fire broke out there too. Right now, we have one room, and 14 people are staying in that room. We cannot go anywhere else. We went to our neighbor's house, and a fire broke out there too. Our expectation is for this place to be demolished and for a place where we can live to be built in its place."
