Eylül Mengüllü, who was allegedly shot in the head by her 19-year-old sister with psychological issues in Hatay, was bid farewell on her final journey. A wedding dress was placed over Eylül's coffin at the funeral.
A chilling incident occurred in the Mağaracık neighborhood of Samandağ district in Hatay on January 7th, early in the morning. Upon hearing gunshots from a container, nearby residents alerted the police and medical teams. The arriving teams found Eylül Mengüllü (17) shot in the head with a gun inside the container. After the initial intervention by the teams, Mengüllü was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Eylül Mengüllü EYLÜL WAS SHOT BY HER SISTER The police, who initiated an investigation into the incident, determined that Mengüllü was shot by her sister E.M. (19). E.M. and S.Y., D.S., and M.Ç., who were found to have provided her with the weapon, were taken into custody.
A CACHE OF WEAPONS WAS FOUND IN THE HOUSE The teams seized a gun, magazine, and bullets determined to have been used in the incident from a chicken coop located about 200 meters away from the container. Searches conducted at the suspects' addresses revealed 1 Kalashnikov brand long-barreled rifle, a magazine for this weapon, 100 bullets, 3 handguns, 4 shotguns, numerous cartridges, 3 knives, 111,000 TL, 300 dollars, 123 grams of marijuana, a marijuana grinder, a precision scale, rifle scopes, and accessories.
SISTER SENT TO A MENTAL HEALTH HOSPITAL: 3 ARRESTS After their procedures, E.M. and S.Y., D.S., and M.Ç., who provided her with the weapon, were brought before the judge. The court decided to admit E.M., who was alleged to have psychological issues, to the Adana Dr. Ekrem Tok Mental Health and Diseases Hospital, and arrested S.Y., D.S., and M.Ç.
Eylül Mengüllü, who was undergoing treatment in the hospital, passed away yesterday morning despite the doctors' intervention.

A wedding dress was placed over Eylül's coffin. After the prayer held at the funeral attended by her family and neighborhood residents, Eylül Mengüllü was laid to rest in tears.
