A person who was released on leave from prison in Ankara shot and killed his mother, daughter, and estranged wife, who was allegedly in the process of divorce, with a gun, and then committed suicide with the same weapon. It was learned that the individual placed the lifeless bodies of his mother and daughter in the trunk of his vehicle and went to the house where his wife lived, entering the house disguised as a courier with a helmet on his head.

The incident occurred in the Kuşcağız neighborhood of the Keçiören district. According to the information received, Recep Cengiz (35), who went into a rage for an unknown reason, shot and killed his mother Azize Cengiz (57) and his daughter Azra Cengiz (8) with a gun. Cengiz then placed the lifeless bodies of his mother and daughter in the trunk of his light commercial vehicle with the license plate 35 ASA 769 and went to his estranged wife's house.

It is alleged that Cengiz, wearing a helmet and dressed as a courier, arrived at the house of his estranged wife Beyzanur Cengiz (25) and after killing her as well, committed suicide with the same gun.

RELEASED ON PERMISSION FROM PRISON

Upon receiving reports from citizens who heard gunshots, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The bodies were taken to the Keçiören Forensic Medicine Institution for autopsy after the work at the scene. It was learned that the attacker had been released on permission from prison a while ago. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
