The cinema artist Neşe Aksoy, who had been undergoing cancer treatment for a while, passed away at the age of 62 in İzmir. The artist, who appeared in many Yeşilçam films such as Vahşi Aşk, Arkadaşım, Çare Sende Allahım, Can Kurban, and Lodos Zühtü, had also shared the lead role with star names like Tarık Akan and Fikret Hakan.
Neşe Aksoy, a cinema artist undergoing cancer treatment, passed away at the age of 62 in İzmir.
In a statement from the Film-San Foundation, it was noted that the artist had lost her life, and it was expressed, "We wish God's mercy upon actress Neşe Aksoy, one of our honorary members, and our condolences to her family and loved ones."
"WE LOST A PERSON WHO LOOKED BEAUTIFULLY AT LIFE"
Film-San General Manager Kıvanç Terzioğlu expressed his deep sorrow over the passing of the master artist, stating, "The news of her passing was shared with us by Neşe Hanım's daughter, Elif Doğru. Neşe Aksoy had done beautiful works. She wanted to achieve even more. She always aimed to play good roles and return to series and cinema. In addition to acting, she had prepared a very important exhibition in recent years and was making preparations for its continuation. She wanted to complete this exhibition in time for November 14, which is considered the 'birthday' of Turkish cinema. However, the cancer she contracted did not allow her to do all these beautiful works she wanted. We lost a person who looked beautifully at life. I am very sad."
Terzioğlu added that the details regarding Neşe Aksoy's funeral ceremony have not yet been finalized.
ABOUT NEŞE AKSOY
Born in Istanbul in 1966, Aksoy graduated from the Department of Mathematics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University. Aksoy, who appeared in productions such as "Kızlar Sınıfı Yarışıyor" and "Lodos Zühtü," was among the important artists of her time with her successful acting. The artist, who became memorable with the film "Arkadaşım," starring master artists Tarık Akan and Fikret Hakan, also received painting education in England and held numerous exhibitions. Last April, the artist announced on her social media account that she had lung cancer.
