The recent sexual abuse scandal in France has taken on new dimensions. In the investigation that began with the Gisele Pelicot case, it has emerged that 480 more individuals were victimized through a website used by the same criminal network. In the investigation conducted by the Paris Public Prosecutor's Office, it was determined that the website identified by the cybercrime unit facilitated over 23,000 crimes, including rape, child abuse, and murder. Experts indicate that this number may increase as the investigation deepens. The prosecutor leading the investigation, Jean-Michel Laurent, stated, "The picture we are facing reveals one of the darkest sides of the modern age. Criminals are using technology to reach their victims and believe they can disappear without a trace." Marie Dumont, head of the Cyber Crime Unit, said, "As the codes of the communications made through the site are decrypted, we see how organized the criminal network is. Thanks to international cooperation, we have reached a large portion of the suspects." The French Ministry of the Interior has established a special unit related to the case to provide psychological support to the victims. A ministry spokesperson stated, "Our priority is the rehabilitation of the victims and taking necessary measures to prevent similar incidents from occurring."
