A woman who left her home to seek refuge with her brother due to domestic violence in Afyonkarahisar was attacked by her husband with kicks, punches, and a stick. The moments of the attack were captured by security cameras, and the assailant husband was arrested and sent to prison.
In Afyonkarahisar, G.K., who attacked his wife after she left their home due to violence, was arrested following footage recorded by security cameras.
The incident occurred last November in the village of Koçerli, located in the Çay district. According to the information obtained, in an incident where security camera footage has recently emerged, it is alleged that G.K.'s wife, C.K., left their home due to incompatibility and violence and sought refuge at her brother's house, who lives in the same village. Enraged, G.K. went to the house where his wife was staying.
HE FIRST ATTACKED HER WITH A STICK, THEN KICKED HER
After arguing with his wife for a while, G.K. began to physically assault her. In response, C.K. tried to escape by pouring the water from a bucket she had onto G.K. This made G.K. even angrier, and he started hitting his wife with a stick he had grabbed. After receiving blows from the stick, C.K. screamed and cried out for help. When C.K. fell to the ground, she tried to protect herself by picking up a stone, but G.K., whose anger did not subside, took the stone from her hand and continued to assault her with the stick.
During the struggle, G.K. continued to kick C.K., who had fallen to the ground. Meanwhile, G.K.'s shout of "let's go to the police" at his wife did not go unnoticed.
HE WAS ARRESTED
Following the incident, a statement from the Afyonkarahisar Governorship indicated that the person who inflicted violence on his wife had been arrested, stating, "On December 2, 2025, a fight was reported between individuals named F.K., G.K., F.S., and B.S. in the village of Koçbeyli, Çay district. The suspects were taken into custody by the patrol teams that went to the scene, and G.K. (the person who attacked his wife in the footage) was arrested by the court on December 5, 2025, and handed over to Bolvadin Type T Penal Institution." Additionally, it was reported that the individuals had also been taken into custody on November 24 due to another fight.
