                    In the Körfez district of Kocaeli, Ramazan Gökmen fatally stabbed his wife multiple times in the living room during an argument. After the incident, Gökmen also stabbed himself and was seriously injured. It was learned that the couple had four children.
                    
                    
                       
The bleeding wound of Turkey, femicides, is frighteningly increasing every day, and the latest brutal news came from the Körfez district of Kocaeli. In Esentepe Neighborhood, on Çınar Street, Ramazan Gökmen (48) started arguing with his wife Binnur Gökmen (46) for an unknown reason.
HE BRUTALLY MURDERED HIS WIFE
During the argument, Ramazan Gökmen repeatedly stabbed his wife in their living room and then harmed himself with the same knife. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon the notification of neighbors who heard the sounds. The teams determined in their initial checks at the scene that Binnur Gökmen had lost her life.
HE ATTEMPTED SUICIDE
Severely injured, Ramazan Gökmen was taken to Kocaeli City Hospital by ambulance for treatment. The lifeless body of Binnur Gökmen was taken to the morgue after the examination by the public prosecutor.
AN INVESTIGATION HAS BEEN INITIATED
An investigation has been initiated regarding the incident, and it was reported that Ramazan Gökmen was engaged in construction and painting work, and the couple had 4 children.
20 WOMEN WERE KILLED ONLY IN SEPTEMBER
According to the data from the We Will Stop Femicide Platform; in September alone, 20 femicides were committed, and 22 women were found dead under suspicious circumstances. Of the 20 murdered women, 5 were killed by their husbands, 3 by their sons, 3 by men they had previously been with, 3 by someone they knew, 2 by ex-husbands, 2 by relatives, 1 by a brother, and 1 by a man they were in a relationship with.
