'DON'T CRY, STAND TALL' Speaking at the ceremony, Osman Sınav's son expressed his feelings with the following words: "I couldn't prepare very well, please forgive me. I thank everyone who came and those who couldn't come. My father was a very special man. Not only with his films but also with his outlook on life and the value he gave to people... He touched people like a father. His assistants and actors became part of our family. We were not just a family; we became a community growing around him. I always felt his love deeply. My father spoke a lot through his silence. I saw that my father recognized loneliness and carried it with honor. He did not achieve his successes easily. There were times he sacrificed from us. But we always felt his love and his hand upon us. When I was born, my father said, 'I am not alone anymore.' He made me promise, 'Don't cry, stand tall.' The promise I made to him is very precious. We always tried to be worthy of him. This will continue. Look, dad, we are here. We are all together. Thank you very much for bringing these people into our lives, for what you have given us. I love you."
The funeral of master director and producer Osman Sınav will be held today after the afternoon prayer at the Marmara University Faculty of Theology Mosque, and he will be buried at the Karacaahmet Cemetery in Üsküdar.
