Mustafa Akbıyık, a 79-year-old man living in Ankara, stated that he has not been able to drink water for 34 years. According to his claim, after being poisoned by coal with his wife in their house with a stove in 1992, Akbıyık has developed a disgust for water and can only drink tea and soda. He expressed his desire for this problem to be resolved as soon as possible and is seeking help from doctors, stating that he longs for water.

Akbıyık said, "We were poisoned by coal while living in a rented place. There was a smell in the house, and I lay down in that smell. In the morning, we couldn't get up, and a neighbor came. The neighbor said, 'Why are they still lying down? They have never slept this late before.' When he opened the window, a foul smoke came out from inside. He immediately called the police, thinking they had been poisoned."

Akbıyık, who recounted that he was in a coma for 2 days in the hospital, said, "I couldn't drink water after coming out of the coma. When I got home, the smell was still there. After that, I struggled a lot to drink water. I take a sip, but I feel disgusted. I lose myself. When I need to take medicine, my children hold my hands and feet."

Akbıyık, who mentioned that he has applied to many hospitals but has not been able to find a solution to his problem, said, "I have been to every hospital and place in all of Ankara. Since 1992, I have longed for water and longed for laughter."

"I WANT TO BE HAPPY TOO"

Akbıyık stated that he wants to drink something other than tea, saying, "I can't drink cola or fruit juice at all. I only drink soda and 15 cups of tea a day. I also want to live now. In this two-day world, I want to be happy too. I want to drink water, drink cola, and drink my fruit juice."
