In the Kepez district of Antalya, a 20-year-old young man opened fire with a gun on his older brother, who was sitting in a car, and his older brother's wife. The seriously injured brother died, while the suspect went to the police station and surrendered.
E.U., who arrived at the site where his family lives in the Hüsnü Karakaş neighborhood of the Kepez district in Antalya, started firing in succession at his brother Vedat U. and his other brother's wife Z.U. for an undetermined reason while they were in the car.
While Vedat U. and his sister-in-law Z.U. were injured by bullets hitting various parts of their bodies, nearby citizens who heard the gunshots rushed to help, while 20-year-old E.U. fled the scene on the motorcycle he arrived with.
SHE HAD A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN
Upon receiving a report to the 112 Emergency Call Center, a large number of police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Vedat U.'s mother, who was at home during the incident and came downstairs after hearing the gunshots, had a nervous breakdown and could not hold back her tears.
HE COULD NOT BE SAVED
Vedat U. and sister-in-law Z.U. were taken to the hospital by ambulance. Vedat U., who was shot in the abdomen, neck, and head by bullets from his brother's gun, could not be saved despite all interventions and lost his life. Z.U.'s treatment is still ongoing.
HE SURRENDERED
After the incident, E.U., who fled on his motorcycle, went to the police station and surrendered. The Crime Scene Investigation team conducted an examination around the vehicle. The teams determined that there were many empty cartridges around the vehicle.
