A university student in Taiwan paid the price for his excessive addiction to online games during the winter break with his life.
PAID WITH HIS LIFE FOR PLAYING GAMES WITHOUT SLEEPING
A 20-year-old young man attending university passed away after suffering a brain hemorrhage from playing games for four days and three nights without any sleep. According to reports from the Taiwanese press, the young man ignored his family's repeated warnings to rest and spent uninterrupted time in front of the computer throughout the holiday. It was noted that the young man largely neglected his food and basic needs for four days, and he suffered a severe brain hemorrhage due to a rupture of an artery in his brain late at night, resulting in his death.
WARNINGS FROM DOCTORS AND EXPERTS
Following this incident, neurology experts emphasized that prolonged sleeplessness excessively raises blood pressure, can lead to ruptures in blood vessel walls, and significantly increases the risk of stroke/brain hemorrhage, especially in individuals with genetic predispositions. In previous years in Taiwan, the sudden deaths of young people who played games for days in internet cafes had frequently come to the forefront.
